History of Yorkshire Terrier 2471 (W471MKU)
2471 is a DAF SB220 with an East Lancs Myllennium body. Delivered new in 2000 to Yorkshire Terrier. 2471 passed to Stagecoach in December 2005 when the Traction group was taken over and was renumbered as 26101 in the national fleet number scheme.
After a few more years service with Stagecoach
2471 was withdrawn and passed to Blackpool Transport for use as a driver
trainer. A role it had been undertaking until its withdrawal. Purchased for
preservation in early May 2018 2471 arrived back in South Yorkshire a couple of
weeks later.
A small repair on the fuel tank was been carried
out upon arrival in Rotherham. 2471 is now stored awaiting further repairs.
