History of Felix Motors 40 (XWX 795)

XWX795 is an AEC Reliance with Roe Dalesman bodywork. It was new in May 1959 as Felix Motors 40.

It was sold out of service before the takeover of Felix by SYPTE and was converted into a motor home.

It was then jointly bought for preservation by the Felix Preservation Group and the Sheffield Transport Group for use as their accommodation and kitchen area.

It resided at the Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft for many years, often out of sight from public view.

It was then sold to its current owner who has made significant progress on its restoration.

After moving around a couple of storage locations it eventually arrived with us at SYTT. Restoration is ongoing.
